Kellie has been an athlete her whole life! She started as a competitive gymnast at 6 years old, then moved on to track and field where she competed in long jump and sprints and ultimately earned a college scholarship to Arkansas State University. She competed for ASU as a long jumper and sprinter which lead her to her true love, pole vault. Shortly after she graduated college she turned professional, and became a pioneer of the event as a member of the 1st Women's Pole Vault Olympic Team in Sydney. She continued her success in the 2004 Olympics. She was honored to represent the USA and Nike for a total of 12 years. Among her other accomplishments are, two USA Championships and the Silver medal at the 1999 Pan American Games and 2001 World Championships. After she retired from pole vaulting she attended the Boulder College of Massage Therapy where she completed over 1500 hours of education in anatomy and physiology (among others) and hands on training. She is currently a practicing massage therapist and an instructor at the Makawao Massage School. She specializse in Prenatal/Postpartum/Infant massage. She also enjoys the complexity of over-use injuries and preventing injuries in general.
Kellie now enjoys anything and everything Maui has to offer. She loves to surf, hike, snorkel, Pilates, dance, reading, and the immense beauty of the island. She is a Huge fan of music, especially live music! " I love my family, especially my niece Bella, and my husband. Another fun fact: I'm an identical twin!"
